Huntshoot down?

It has been going down more and more lately. I think our host needs to do a major overhaul.

I have sent Matt a couple of emails but have had no response from him yet.
 
BTW MD, This one didn't get over the cliff. ;) Gillian decided to shoot something she has never shot before - a spike! ;) LoL

Yes he was a healthy little boy of ~175 pounds live weight.


If you think he was a good size look at this huge 2 point MD shot a week or so ago when he and I went out for an afternoon hunt. This bugger was close to 250 pounds live and the fact he made it over a cliff after the shot made him even more memorable. LoL

Thanks Mommabear. I have to say that hunting with one's son - or in my case daughter - is one of the greatest things in life.

This is deer number 5 for her. She started with a 2 x 2 then took a huge 3 x 3 and a doe during her second season. Last fall she took her first 4 point and yesterday this spike. She told me she will get her "Booner" next month during the late 4 point season. :cool:

BTW, This spike was her longest shot ever taken on a deer. Using her lefty Savage 110 in .308 she put a 165 grain Partition through the little buck's ribs at just over 250 yards.

Boo, congrats to your daughter on yet another successful hunt. You're building some great memories with her.

Lots of deer left Pat. The pre-rut has just started and it is fun to just sit and watch the young bucks spar with each other.
 
Another lefty.....I bought my wife the same rifle in 30-06 this year. LH savage 110c. I hope she shoots as straight as your girl Boo
 
Dangit Boo you keep takin folks out there and our private stash will be gone ;o)

Not sure if we can afford to give up more than a couple hundred or so a year from our private stash LOL
