Huskemaw 5-30x56LR ?

Looking into purchasing a Huskemaw 5-30x56. Anybody had any experience with these scopes. The reviews on this particular scope seem to be pretty good but would like to hear a review from somebody first hand. Any help or info would be great!

I would agree abou the hype. For that money I would go with a NSX Nightforce, Hard to beat one of them.
Plus they are like having cash in the bank if you ever decide to sell.
Schmidt and Bender or a March would be good to
 
Thanks Guys. I too am a big fan of nightforce. I’ve owned and looked through several of them and they are no doubt a fine piece of glass. I have a opportunity to get a Huskemaw 5-30 for significantly less then a nightforce NXS. The Huskemaw 5-30 is said to have the same glass as the nightforce. I can’t find one bad review on the Huskemaw 5-30 and everyone review I’ve read the people seem to love them. I need to hear it from someone that actually owns one though and it won’t take much for me to head back to a nightforce but so far I like everything about the Huskemaw. Hopefully someone on this sight actually owns one and chimes in.

The Huskemaw scopes will be in-stock here at the store in about 4 weeks. If the timing is right, it might be worth the hour drive to compare them side-by-side with Nightforce (have many of those in stock) and other brands (Swaro, Zeiss, Leica, Elite Tac, etc...) in person before dropping $2k.

Not at all, its just that's the only place you'll ever see or hear of them endorsed in a positive light, could do far better for far less. Some comparable scopes being used by the top 100 pros in PRS, huskemaws right up there :p....

Should have mentioned I’m a hunter. Not a PRS shooter. All nice scopes on the list but none of them interest me. The Huskemaw is built by hunters for hunters! ( Have to watch best of the west for that line right Cody C!). Anyways I bought the Huskemaw thanks to the info from people that actually own one! I will update once I get it.

A 30x scope is not a hunting scope. How far are you hunting?
 
in the day of the blue diamond coat and when the nightforce were made in japan i was never able to see a difference.

they were coming from the same factory with mostly the same components.

i shot a huskemaw in really bad conditions and it worked very well.

in those days the canadian distribution was so so i cant say for today ...

As far as I know the Nightforce parts are still manufactured in Japan...assembled in Orofino Idaho. Phil.

Great, let us know what you think of it. Hopefully you can get some side by side comparisons with other folks's rigs and get a good sense of pro's and cons to other brands, and I hope it works for what you are wanting out of it.

I hope it works for what I need it for too. I will be able to directly compare it with other high end optics such as nightforce, zeiss and swavorski as myself and the guys I shoot with all own them. The company I bought the Huskemaw from also gave me the option to return it and directly trade it in for a NXS if they don’t think it compares. (They where really confident it would!) So I really have nothing to loose. Should see it in a couple weeks so I’ll let you guys now what I think.
