HHB, they are basically the same as a 3000 crown grade, tucked in a lighter stock. They have the modified HVA mauser action, pot metal bottom guard and floorplate.

Nice light rifles, I believe your era guess to be accurate too.

Just like all the other Huskies they are notorious for the tang crack, be sure the reciever is supported in the stock before shooting it.

If 264Magnum stops by he should be able to tell you age by the serial number too.

I haven't had the lightwieght model you speak of, but both my Crown grade and 1950 high power shot very well.

Hope this helps!

Earlier ones had steel floorplates I believe. Something like under serial # 220,000.
Only thing I wish for is that they had better triggers, though there was an adjustable trigger offered from the factory. (I've never seen one)
Handy rifles, for sure.

The adjustable trigger was from Tradewinds, and was their own product, designed for the Husqvarna rifles.

It would also work on Mauser 98s and SAKO rilfles.

Tradewinds also had a "Snapshooter Post" front sight and a specially-designed receiver sight that installed on the top of the receiver bridge. It was the lightest fully adjustable receiver sight I have seen, other than the Williams Guide Open Sight that mounts in the same manner.
