I believe it's a model 26 is the single shot 25/20. I can't find much info about them. Can anyone shine some light on this model? How hard are they to track down and are they worth the prices I've been seeing? Seems the 32/20 is more common but I'd love to find a 25/20

I bought one of these rifles from Tradex about three years ago in 25-20. They remind me of a mini version of the Model 71 Mauser and are very well built as you would expect from a company like Husqvarna. The rifle we have handles well and is quite accurate and a lot of fun to shoot. It is also very economical to shoot if you are a handloader, not so much if you have to buy factory loads, the last ones I saw were in the $75.00 a box range although that is for 50 rounds. I'm not sure what current prices are on these rifles but I paid $295.00 for ours from Tradex listed in Good plus condition, in actual fact I would rate it at Very Good as they tend to be pretty conservative on their grading. I haven't seen many coming up for sale but I would be willing to bet that a WTB here on the EE might scare one up, won't be ours though, my wife in particular really likes it a lot, it is here to stay.

They don't come by the truckload but they're around, in 25-20 (mod. 25), 32-20 (mod. 26), 30-30 (mod. 35) and even 45-70 (mod. 45).
They go from 250.00 $ to +/- 400.00 $ for a V.G. no. 45.

They are, indeed, scaled-down Mauser '71
