I know this is a shot in the dark, but a buddy is looking for a stock for a Husqvarna Lightweight Model 4100 in 30-06.

He says it is an early model with a 3-way bolt release. I'm not sure what that is, I have a 4100 and it has a simple spring loaded lever you push down.

pm me or email me if you can help please.

My email is: scribblefish@hotmail .com

Are you sure it's a 4100?
If it's an early model, the bolt release lever is not at the same place as the later plus it carries a steel floorplate / trigger guard. To get a drop-in replacement, you need to find one with a close S/N. Your best bet would be contacting Trade Ex with the S/N in hand.

Thanks, I just was told about it over the phone. Funny, I was just going to pm you looking for advice.

My buddy knows his 4100 rifles. He gave me one, a friend one in 30-06 and in the same phone conversation mentioned above he told me he just bought another one in 7x57 like mine.

I doubt he gets a 4000/4100 stock from TEC, though. It would be something like a 1600 Std. Easy to spot as they don't have fore arm checkering and they have slim (3/4") sling swivel rings, made of cast and/or milled.
The 4000/4100 stocks are checkered at the fore arm and have a bent wire swivel ring and are made to accept a 1" sling.

As for the 3-way release, I can't see what he means. Pics would help to tell.
