Hi guys, not familiar with the huskys too much, can somebody confirm to me what meaning the 2 small flat head screws have on the back action side of the receiver? There about an inch apart and if you screw them al the way in they fall into the action, they almost remind ya of the small little filler screws that come in new rifles ontop of the reciever.
Do I leave them in or remove them? Just wondering what purpose they serve? Pressure? Gas? Thx in advance guys I appreciate it.

Those screws would be on the right side of the receiver bridge.

They are intended to mount a rear sight that rides over the bridge and is usually micrometer adjustable. Not all were though.

It was an option that was often made available by manufacturers of the time period.

Many people prefer "aperture" rear sights over "v notch" tangent types. I do.
