Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong forum.

Have a husqvarna .270 ser #293###

Can anyone give me some kind of idea of the value?
As far as I can tell it looks almost new, nicest rifle in my collection.

Just want a rough idea so can determine if it's worth taking in for an appraisal. I would upload a pic but can't find any options to do so.

Would depend on a few different things; model (1600 vs 4000), is it a Mauser 96 action or 98. Was it an FN or other commercial built action? Year of production, pre-war or post-ww2. A lot of variables..... a model 1600 can go for as little as $400, where a Crown grade and up can fetch a couple grand. There are some very knowledgeable folks on here, perhaps a collector can chime in with some better advice. Best of luck

Based on the ser # I believe it is a 1600 built in 1964, but not 100% sure.

Top of the barrel stamped:
Husqvarna Vapenfabriks A B 270 Winch

This should help:

Its based upon the Husqvarna made action - the 1600 series. There has been a flood of rifles of this type into Canada over the last few years, courtesy of Tradex, which imports them from Sweden. You can check out their website for comparison. Yours looks to be in better than average shape, with a Weaver K-4 scope, which modestly contributes to the value. I would say 550$...

I think it takes a pretty special husqvarna to get $700 IMHO unless it is a rare/desired cartridge or one of the higher models like a 7000/8000. I'd suggest 600 would be reasonable from what I can see of the rifle.

This isn't a recent import. My dad bought this rifle from his brother in law in the 90s. Don't know much more than that other than my dad telling me when I took over his collection that they wanted the rifle back, so I'm considering selling back to them.

Yes , probably slightly on the high end

Dandy rifle

These are usually good shooters. Rugged, utilitarian rifles, marketed at a price point back in the day. I'd realistically put it at $450, and to sell you may have to include shipping. The deluxe look will make it easier to sell.

Keep in mind, that would be a Manitoba estimate. Unless it's something special, a used rifle has to cost less than a new Axis for it to sell.

I had to work real hard to sell my BSA in 300 Win Mag. Sold it with new Burris rings and bases and 3.5-10x50 Tasco Titan scope. It would shoot less than moa at 300 yards.

The prices will usually +/- follow the prices showing on Trade Ex site... If you try to sell at a higher price, I really doubt it will sell, because people will simply go to TEC...

Browse Trade Ex and find a rifle that matches your rifle’s condition the best, and add 50$ because 270 is a rare caliber. That’s my appraisal.
