I used to have a link to a great web site that had info and history on the Husqvarna rifles. I can't seem to find it, does anyone have any good links to share?

Plus, was the featherweight built on the 1600 action? Does anyone know what they actually weighed?

Hold on Pal,
I'll see what this one weighs. It IS on the HVA action as have been all the others I've ever seen.

EDIT: If you are meaning the 4100 Lightweight, this 308 Winchester weighs between 6 1/4 to 6 1/2lbs.

Wasn't the website something about Swedish rifle collectors?????? Now I'm not going to sleep tonight......

Probably this one:
forums.gunboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=50. Add "http" at the beginning.
(Hope you get this before midnight, Noel!)

thanks for the link, but that was not it. It was a link, I think based in Sweden but with an english version, and it had a page for the bolt action rifles with pictures and descriptions of all the centerfire models (46, 146, 146A etc). Maybe it is no longer available.

Thanks Noel, I was not thinking of the 4100. I thought there was a 1600 featherweight...with a schanble forearm? Maybe I am wrong.

I would guess you could add another 1/4 to a 1/2lb for an older model as they had the steel bottom metal compared to the pot metal of the HVA actions.

I still don't recall what the site was. I went to Josquins but that doesn't seem like the one.

Where the heck is 264magnum when you need him?

The lightweight Husqvarnas exported to North America were designated Model 4100 and 4000. The 4100 was straight comb and the 4000 had a monte carlo comb. They both had 20.5" barrels and schnabel forends. 1600 is the model designation for the action.

Did the 4000/4100 have the 1600 action?

Go to the Swedish Civilian Arms forum and post a question there. Pettson, Kriggvaer or SBVHA is bound to know. (Then post the info so Noel can get a good night's sleep.)

PETTSON's thats it! ...

Whew... we can all get a little sleep now. Fortunately Pettson is still alive and kicking on the Swed. Civil. Arms forum- in fact, he's the moderator. And has a better command of English than some folks on CGN! (Present company all excepted, of course.)

Aha! I knew it was the Swedish civilian something or other.
Was it not Pettisons though?

When I first discovered the Swedish Civilian Arms forum, after getting my 9.3x57 Husky at the end of last year I seem to recall that I also found a site named something like Pett(i)son's but even then the site was not functioning properly; I think he was closing it down about then. There may even have been a post about it on the SCA forum at that time.

I found a post, he's been busy, had a baby etc. He had a very informative site, too bad it's gone.

Yep! :)

I have two of them in 7X57, and they both are just under seven pounds with scope.

Yeah I was scouring for 9,3x57 info a month or so ago and came across your thread on one of the forums regarding the loads. There are so many forums any more, each has it's own great source of info but try and keep track of all of it.

Ted, I thought your wife uses a .358 Win., which is far superior to those puny 7mm's. I think you need to get rid of them. Well, maybe just get rid of one. I wonder who would like a rifle like that.....

I've only owned one Husky, a nice little rifle, and boy was the action slick.

How about this: Husky featherweight or Brno 21H, all things considered, which do you take?
