Good afternoon

I have recently acquired a Husqvarna Carbine. I have a vx3 1.5-5 that is going on top. I want to be able to use the open sights as well. What is the lowest option for me as a quick release ring and base system. I am willing to spend some money but certainly not EAW kind of money.

Thanks in advance:)

I have used Leupold super low QD rings/mounts with complete satisfaction on a Remington 700 and Sako AV, I believe they make bases for all the Mauser actions as well.

Hey guys

Thanks for your replies and suggestions. The pivot mounts are not what I am looking for as I want to be able to completely remove the scope from the rifle when I wish. I think the Leupold set up that Longwalker suggested will do the trick for me.

Just make sure the bases are low enough to see the sights over - my conetrol bases are not quite low enough, the front base being about .225" above the receiver. On this set up (Husqvarna 4100) I would need that front base to be no higher than .175" to clearly see the factory sights. I'm not sure which rifle you have, but let us know how it works out.
