It seems that Higginson has some Hybrid 100V (Hodgdon) and I've got some on the way. I expect to be able to get good results with this stuff in the .375 Ruger and the .375 Ultra.

For anyone not familiar with it, this powder is advertised as a ball powder with extruded powder burning characteristics, hence the name. It is said to fall between H-4350's and H-4831's burning rate. What attracts me to it is that the loading density should be high enough to improve the performance of both of these .375 rounds.

I've been able to load 300 gr TSX's to 2500 in the short Ruger Alaskan, which is all anyone could ask for, but despite my best efforts with a number of powders, I found the 260 gr AB's lacking, in that I was unable to get 2700 fps from them, although the testing was done a low temperatures. The .375 Ultra produces velocities in bullet weights of 300 grs and less that do very well, but I would like to get just a bit more from the heavy weight 350 and 380 gr bullets, perhaps 2500 and 2400 respectively.

I finally got to shoot my H100V test loads in my 280 Rem with 150 grain Nosler E-Tips

starting loads clocked @ 2750 fps and I didnt run into high pressure signs until 2980 fps, I will back off a grain or so and fiddle around there for accuracy. I think I will like this powder :D
