Hydro dipping??

Sent my Wildcat to Victoria Hydrographics. Had it dipped in KUIU Verde 2.0. Turned out good.

They did a McMillan for me in Kuiu Vias. It was done well

That is exactly what I was hoping to see here. I have a McMillan hunters edge on my tikka and would like to get it dipped. I hate the tan speckles. Did your stock have speckle paint from McMillan? Mine does, and while I think it would maintain it grippyness, I wonder if it will not look as good, dipped over the texture?

No, mine was the McSwirly/moulded in color, which is a gelcoat I think. I would tend to think they prep the stock beforehand, probably some sanding.

Mine looked like this before:

Well I ordered some film to have my McMillan hunters edge dipped. I changed my mind on the Kuiu, and selected this one called Disolve Bare camo. Pretty much unheard of via google search in North America, I think it originated in Australia.

How does it hold up?
My kimber adrionidac factory paint is all rubbing off and thought about getting it done.

I'll let you know. I'm sure it won't be as hard as the factory McMillan paint, you could throw the stock down a mountain and it wouldn't get marked up. If I didn't HATE the color, I wouldn't be dipping. Coincidentally the Kuiu dip is now an option from Mcmillan on the hunters edge.
