Thinking on getting my Remington 11-87 dipped
Currently has the original camo pattern but thinking on something more of a open brown camo
Anyone have pics of their camo dipped shotguns they want to share
Please mention the camo pattern as well

I have a mossberg 935 in advantage max 4 camo that i use for waterfowl and turkey hunting. A couple years ago i purchased a choate pistol grip stock for when I use the gun for turkey. Since the stock only comes in black, I decided to dip it myself using the closest camo pattern to advantage max 4 that was available. I ended up settling on a camo pattern made by Hunting Attractions called reeds and weeds. The dip kit comes with everything you need to complete the job. I didnt find the process to difficult and the end result was pretty good. The camo pattern obviously isnt an exact match, but its definitely better then having a total stock mismatch. Pictures to follow...

Detail? Where did you get the kit and how much? Enough to do a full rifle not just the stocks?

I ordered the kit online from mydipkit.com. They have different size kits...I got the entry level kit which is about $70US. At the time I think it cost me about $80 cdn shipped. While I only did the stock, the kit I got could have done a whole firearm. In fact, the friend that told me about these kits purchased a kit and dipped an entire brand new Beretta A300. The gun turned out really good for someone who had no dipping experience. Here are the photos of my Mossberg

Gun looks great and thanks for sharing
I like the max4 pattern as well
Got a local guy here that can get whatever camo pattern I desire
Looking forward to more pics to help decide which route I want to go

How durable is this stuff once applied?

Once its applied and dried, its sealed with a matte clear-coat. The clear coat dries very smooth and hard. From what i've experienced, its every bit as durable as the factory finish. In fact, I used the same clear-coat on the factory finish to protect it from natural oils and mosquito repellent. I guess its no difference then automotive clear coat finish...but in a matte finish not gloss.

Anyone have any pics?
Local guy here will do the receiver and barrel for a nice price and he applies a matte finish as well
Thinking on painting the stock and forend a dark tan
Think it will look good with a open brown camo pattern
