hyper velocity rounds

From alot of the posts I've read on these forums, hyper vilocity ammo in a semi is a no-no. High vilocity is ok though.

IIRC  , the 572 Fieldmaster is the pump-action....

Respectfully :yingyang: , I've used hyper-velocity rounds in many semi-automatics before.........remember, CCI Stingers are considered Hyper-Vels, and certainly CCI Velocitors fall into that category as well (they are a guilty pleasure of mine, you see)....:D...both have never seemed unsafe for use in semi-automatics......

I was thinking of the 552, my bad, I will shut up now:p

No worries, really........I just happen to love older Remington models as much as some people here like Mossbergs..........come to think of it, maybe Hyper-Vels might not be the best fodder for the Remington 550-1's floating chamber, but so far (thankfully!) my 552 Speedmaster has fed & fired without a hitch :yingyang:

(It's also eerily accurate when topped with a good scope, as I discovered once Sly Old Fox helped me zero-in my 552, grouping solidly and effortlessly into the bottom-left and top-right quadrants of a Silverdale bullseye-circle at 25 yards even with bulk Remington Golden ammo, and doing okay as well @ 50...:dancingbanana:....)

I'll have to try some Hyper-Vel's in at least one of my Remington 550-1's, as well as some CB Shorts for "stealth"......:D

P.S. Those Remington 552's can leave surprising sparks on your left forearm, if you're a non-southpaw shooting in short-sleeved shirts.....:stirthepot2:....i can understand that reluctance to use Hyper-Vels!.....:nest:
