I am but a humbled idiot who is need of help with a gas block pin issue

So I in my infinite ambition and wisdom decided to take advantage of unused upper I had laying around from the glory days and decided to build a 16” upper (because I didn’t have one) and so I had bought 16” Noveske recon barrel and it all went swimmingly well until my gas block pin stopped moving 75-80% of the way in and was exceeding the amount of reasonable 2lb hammer and punch allotted to said endeavour. The thing is it’s a solid pin, it’s friggen in there boy I tell you what, I cannot for the life of me get it to budge either way, I can get it hotter than Hades hot pocket and it still won’t do a thing. I’m just wondering how concerned I should be as it’s a solid pin, it’s in my thinking seize welded in there AND most importantly the set screw is thread lockered and torqued to spec. My questions are;
A) am I gonna be okay lol
B) how am I gonna know if it’s going to be okay if I can’t test it?
C) can I send it to a smith to have it properly done if need be and where or who in centralish Alberta help me?
 
They are challenging to remove. They are tapered with the larger end being on the ejection port side of the site base. They need to be driven out from the opposite side. I've done it with a suitably sized punch and 4lb hammer, it takes a wallop to shift them. Need to be careful to support the site base and barrel. There are purpose made jig things (Wheeler Gas Block Taper Pin Removal Tool for example) for doing this or you can be creative with wood blocks.
 
Are we talking taper pins for the traditional style fsb? Are you just removing old parts or fitting new?

A tapered fsb pin is usually drilled to fit a new fsb/barrel. If you are trying to hammer one into a bunch of new random parts you might be disappointed with the end result. I've been down this road as a hack job ar builder. It's rarely worked out for me, I've had to send my barrel and gas block to people smarter than me. Or at least they had the proper tools.

Maybe I'm missing the point of the op.
 
So it’s a Noveske recon barrel that came with a low profile gas block in the box and the solid pin. In my research on other forums people are saying they are tapered and others say straight so I’m really unsure. It would appear on observation it was a straight shot hole and a straight steel pin so I’m unsure of what happened. I do have roll pin style pins ordered and I found that wheeler gas block pin guide online so ordered one of those. So I guess when all that arrives I’ll get the heat gun and a bigger purse out.
 
Im assuming youre asking if you can send it to a gunsmith because the barrel is mounted on the upper? If this is the case, simply remove the barrel from the upper and you can mail it to whoever you like in the whole country. The upper is prohibited so even if you could i wouldn't bother shipping it, also just adds totally unnecessary length.
