I am doin it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's an addiction....
I just got my blued GG on Wednesday. I am a short barrel 870 freak (8.5", 12.5" 14" etc) but this .45-70 is REALLY tiny even with the 18.5" barrel! :)
I never thought I would say I should have gone for the longer 22" barreled version.

Looking forwars to seeing the pics.

Cheers

Just picked up a stainless GuideGun today. Pickin up the bedliner tomorrow and will post pics on Sunday.:D

I bet the guy who bought the last bedlinered guide gun would be willing to swap you stocks before the new one is sprayed. I know he's on the hunt right now for a replacement stock.

Hmmm, interesting. I know that stock well.:D Dude at Wholesale pulled out all the Guidegun boxes and i went over the stocks. Nothin to write home about so i feel another bedliner project is in the works. and i love the feel and the tuffness of the bedliner.

Haven't done it yet but i love irkin u dudes.:D

While you're at it you could drill 5 or 6 holes in the buttstock to carry extra ammo in. One of the drilled holes could double as a compass holder too. You may as well cover up that stainless metal with non-glare forest green krylon.
The lever could be made into a Wild West type big enough to shoot with leather lined wool mitts on.
And don't go anywhere you'd be recognized...........

bedliner???? It has no place on a rifle of that quality, you want to bubba a lee enfield, Carcano or a Mosin Nagant, I don't think too many people will care, but why buy a nice rifle and butcher it with a hack bedliner spray can job????

Why don't you buy the rifle, (don't touch it) Send me the rifle and I'll send you the $300, because thats all its worth after your done hacking it with bedliner. I'll get the nice guide gun I've always wanted, you'll get the satisfaction of flushing a bunch of money down the toilet and it will save you the hassel of spraying the gun and reselling it, and you wont' have to buy bedliner either.

Sounds like a Win/Win, let me know if you like the idea...

His money, his gun.
It's not the only guide gun out there.
Get to it Bubba! :p

Can't blame you in a way. The stainless guide gun begs for a synthetic stocks but there aren't many viable options out there. Bedliner is definately the cheapest way and if done right isn't that bad. Personally I like the feel of wood, but I'd rather bedliner than if he took a carving tool or soldering iron and started some "artwork" on the stock.
