I am having a hard time choosing between norinco 10.5 and 14.5 help me out!!!

Another vote for the 14.5" as a general all-round unit. Will let you get decent accuracy at the bench & also for any CQB or 2/3 Gun event you may want to try in the future

10.5 for serious CBQ competitions or illusions. 14.5 will give you better accuracy and range but is also still very good in an CQB environment.

14.5" would be my choice were it me. Still plenty short, but should be more accurate if you want to reach out to 3-400 yrds (such as Service Rifle competitions and maybe 3-Gun depending on your range).

What are you using it for?

If you need range, go with the longer barrel. If you only shoot out to 200m, the 10.5" will do fine. Longer barrels only help with accuracy if you're using iron sights.

Why don't you get both if you can afford it. Trust me, you will be upgrading various parts of your norc, which will eventually cost you over a grand easy...
just my two cents.

I asked the same question earlier this year. Well...I had both. I sold the 14.5 and kept the 10.5
I honestly thought I would hate the 10. I heard all sorts of FTfeed & extraction, and accuracy stories. They are simply not true. I love this shorty. I have never had ANY problems, and believe it or not,...its more accurate than my 14.5
I can hit the metal Pig targets at 300 yards no problem at our range. I tried it for fun, ..I didn't think it would. Very impressed ! I am running a Red field 3x9 scope. The cool facture is at night "muzzle flash"

14.5" gets my vote. Norinco however does not... not to derail the thread. I put a 14.5" barrel on my carbine not too long ago and I love it. Maybe it's all in my head but it seems more versatile than the 16" I had on before. I've handled the Daniel Defense MK18 and loved how short the carbine is. I still see more advantages in going with a 14.5" barrel though.

I've seen Vickers use mostly 14.5" carbines on the 'net.

Go 14.5 your filling will rattle out of your head with the 10.5 and reliability is better with AR rifles the longer the barrel gets.
