Although it would be dependent on the depth of the damage and while it would have a negative impact on the BC; perhaps you could make up a cutter that would act as a bullet uniformer, similar to the crank style ones for MKs. The thought of attempting to glue on a replacement nose cone while keeping the bullet concentric is intimidating.

Ya, the bullet uniformer was what I had in mind, using a lathe. I don't have one.

I am about to cut the nose off one and see how deep the damage is.
