And I just put the BC Tactical sks rear sight scope mount on. That is an excellent product that a normal human can install in about 5 minutes with minimal exertion.

My experience on the other hand...

15 minutes of hammering the crap out of the rear sight scope "pin" and it doesn't even move! Holy crap, that pin is stuck.
So I head to the interweb and a search for "SKS rear sight pin" has very few returns. However the word "trunnion" comes up quite a bit, and they are not things that can be hammered out.

Moving on I take my brand new scope mount and try valiantly to jam it in the newly made space. How can it ever fit in there with that leaf spring pushing up? Oh well, I keep jamming for another 10 minutes or so. With about the same processing speed as a retarded guinea pig I decide to take out the leaf spring and it slides into place with a quiet mocking whisper.

As soon as I figure out where I left my allen keys and my finger stops bleeding I will put on the finishing touches...

Don't feel tooooo bad. In the process of installing my new sks stock I very intelligently installed the top rail that goes on the gas piston tube the wrong way.

Clearly said Front, Back. What resulted was some filing for a good 3 hours using a crappy file until it all fit properly.

Look at it this way, you learn from your mistakes, you wont make the same one next time.
