Hey everyone

So I broke down bought and Springfield P9 9mm so I don't have to use my 1911 .45 for my Black Badge and maybe more IPSC if I like it.

I've been doing allot of reasurch on this gun and I've found allot of interesting stuff but with that comes some questions of course.

What I have been able to find out is that the P9 is a CZ75 clone designed and all parts were made by Tanfoglio in Italy. So all the parts are made in Italy and from there they were shipped to Springfield and were hand assembled. At that time the P9 was assembled in the Springfield performance devision from 89 to 93 which was run by Les Baer..

From there the info I'm having trouble finding out is the compatabilty between the Springfield P9, the CZ75 (pre B), Tangs and after market parts. I know the P9 is a older small frame CZ75/Witness design.

I need to know what mags will work perfectly in the P9, I've read allot will work well but allot of those will have small issues that wont let then work perfectly. Supposedly the factory CZ75 mags are the best is this true?

I would also like to know what stock parts to use from what brands, as form what I know I can't get factory Springfield parts any more. Do I just use factory Tanfoglio parts and which ones?

The last thing I am interested in knowing is what are the best upgrade I can make to the P9 for IPSC use? I'm not loaded either so I'm interested more in must for usability more as I am sure there are plenty of things I can do to it.

Also for IPSC what are the best holsters and mag holders to use?

If anyone owns one or just has thoughts on the P9 please chime in.

Here's a pic or two for eye candy and any info will go along way, thanks for reading.
