I bought an SR-22...let's talk optics.

Use the sights that come with it. SPRAY AND PRAY! :D lol

I currently use a Vortex Strikefire and love it, however I was going to go with a Vortex when i got mine but they weren't in Canada yet and I wasn't willing to wait 2-3 months before I could fire mine.

I tried both the HD7 and Sparc

Sparc for the win on this one and it seems to fit the SR22 better

Did tried the Lucid with magnifier 2X on my MR-1, should be awsome on the SR-22,, i have A Spark on mine and it is very good, cant go wrong with either, they are excellent optics... Jp.

well, I picked it up today, bought a Butler creek 25 round mag and a Bushnell Red Dot. unfortunately that's all Wanstall's has at the moment and I wanted to shoot it today. they had no iron sights either.

now I just have to find something better...so going back to optics, if I don't do something like the Lucid HD7, what kind of scopes would work? would my 3-7x33 Redfield be acceptable?

thanks!

oh yeh...and another question. do you think those tri-mag adapters would have import restrictions? I have a friend in the US that would be able to get them from Cabela's for me and ship them up.

thoughts?

I bought my tri mag adapter from cabelas. USA not Canada think it was $12 or close to it. Shipped to sumas post office box than just ran across and grabbed it. Alangator is the brand name. I run the tri mag and 4 butler creeks. 130 rounds of fun loaded at at a time :)

I like to support local, but today I'm hurting a bit. I bought a Butler Creek Steel Lipped Mag for $50...this evening I see Cabelas Canada sells em for $30 a pop. :( I'd get 3 for the price of 2 going that way...that's a bit more than a straight up rip off. ah well...live n learn. good thing I don't harbor resentment. I forget too easily! :D

now, all said and done, being this SR-22 is essentially a 10/22 in a AR's skin, where's the best place to look for components to enhance it's performance from stock factory?

I'm a Wanstalls supporter all the way. 14 rifles all but 2(1 Ee, 1 deal that couldn't pass up at wss) but there butler creeks are $50 and in Langley at wss there $34 no one going to be mad at you for saving a few bucks. For mods search some sr22 threads. Wanstalls now sells tac solutions barrels. Dlask is local and they have tons of stuff for the sr22. I did a 4 rail kit with 12.5 inch bull barrel, levang compensater and left the rest alone. The trigger isn't as good as my 10/22 vleh but it works good enough for me.

I bought the smokey mags. it's funny...in all the pictures, I think the thin rimfire mag's look horrible, but in person, it actually doesn't 'appear' too bad, LOL!

edit - do you know if Princess Auto has this 'paint' you say Lordco does?
