I just calculated the final bill of my 10/22 build..... OMFG, i didn't think it was going to be that high....(the following includes; taxes, shipping, brokerage fee's, ect.)

Here is my cost:

Original stainless gun, $240(sold the stock and barrel)
Hoged out wood stock, $20
Buy a gm barrel: $120
Weaver rail: $22
Work headspace, and trigger work (done by me) Free.
Bushnell banner dusk and dawn 4-12X40AO, with weaver rings, $140
Bedding with epoxy, 4" of barrel also. ... $1?

$543.

Nailing 30 gophers in a row without a single miss in under 3min... priceless :). I have also taken a few coyotes with it too... crows too.

I use winchester power points exclusivly in this gun.. It shoots under 3/4" off the bipod at 50yards. I have goten a few 5shot groups under 3/8" but 10shots usualy brings it near 3/4"
 
Buy a 10/22t stainless for 480. It comes with stainless heavy barrel already. Then, get a gunsmith for a trigger job. Woud that be ok ? How much would be a reasonable trigger job anyway ?
 
I have the scope coming in from white falls, he wrote back telling me it has arrived and he is only waiting for my money order arrive to ship it to me, should be getting it early next week. I ordered the rings today from russels.

I'm not sceptical, maybe a little jealous, but not sceptical. Nice rifle, I hope it shoots as good as it looks.

Open up a new window and go to photobucket. On your photobucket page, you see thumbnail pictures. These have 3 rows of code below them labeled: Url, Tag & Img. Click on the Img line to highlight it. Right click and "copy".
Here at CGN in the reply box, right click and "paste". The line should look like this

but with [ & ] brackets on the ends. This is the link to your pic. Preview your post to make sure its there and add anything else you need.

I bought mine for $80 bucks out of a guy's garage....and now I have over $750 in to mine.

But, she shoots like a dream....just finished it this winter, can't wait to take some gophers with it.
