I can't believe how fast SKSs are selling on the EE

Al Simmons Gun Shop in Ontario has over a dozen Russian SKS rifles. Just picked up 2 today. 1 1952 and 1 1950 SKS wood stock for $229 each. Why wait for Marstar when you can get it there. they also have one's with laminate stocks. They told me they are expecting 130 more rifles some time soon.

Including the price of the gun (which was a gift to me but the giver paid $275 new) my SKS-D has $700 into it. I am not selling it though, but if I was I would want that for it. Actually more because I also have yet to pay to have my receiver drilled and tapped for my Choate scope mount, and if a scope was included in the sale there would be that cost as well.

But like I said, I'm not selling it! I just understand how one could cost that much, depending on what has been put into it and done to it.

Yeah yeah....but when you want 700, it should have the work done to it or have some expensive/quality add ons like an optic OR it had better get up early in the morning and make me coffee.
I totally agree with that for any firearm but not for a 85-100$ (maybe they went up in price since I bought mine) tapco kit. (the forward "scout rail" comes with the kit and replaces the wood upper handguard ,not an extra as advertised ,and is useless btw)...this particular post dosen't mention anything to warrent that price so I made a comment.

I just wanted to answer back..It is just funny....I found it comical and wanted to throw in something on this thread. And for those who are thinking it, no I don't have to buy it and won't.;)

On my 4th Norinco SKS now.

3 Regulars an got rid of all of them cause it was not a D.

Now I got me my D and do I ever love it!!!

If you see a D, suck it up and buy it!!! Ya won't see it again an it makes having a scoped SKS possible without being dicked around when reloading!!
