I am one step away from throwing the entire gun out. I have looked at every trigger disasembly video on earth and they piss me off more than the gun.

Does anyone have a CLEAR video showing exactly where this stuff goes? I sure as hell took it apart fine, but putting it back together is another story.

Not enough info

Hello and welcome to CGN:welcome:

Now that is taken care of.......... more info please.;)

What type of gun? Rifle? etc., Model?

Also, where are you located. If you are not too far, sometimes arrangements can be made.

lol... I am so mad I forgot to put the model.

It's a Ruger 10/22 standard model. I tried putting the trigger back together and the main pin that holds the trigger and hammer won't come out all the way, so I can't even start assembling it until I get that out.

Actually its just the hammer with the two shims and the weird spring still in the assembly with the pin halfway out.

Don't throw anything out!

It has been said that every gunsmith loves a basket case.

All you need is to put everything into a basket and then to take it to a gunsmith.

:)

I have that not to far.

Well I got the pin out so everything is out of the trigger assembly. Anyone have a clue what to do? lol
I have the schematics somewhere in my files. Send me a PM with a fax number or email address and I will scan it and send it to you.

Hello there!

I would stop with the dis-assembly and hit up the forums...LOTS of great reading there!
I'd start with:

http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63393

The search feature of the forums isn't the finest feature but, there's LOADS of great info here. Also, web-wise, the 10/22 is VERY popular with lots of great reads available on other sites.
One tip {it applies equally well to transmissions as, guns...}

When dis-assembling, leave the components removed organized on your "bench" (for me, kitchen table) in the same order they were removed. Keep a digital Camera close...it's funny how something I took apart yesterday is tricky to get back together today...

go to youtube, and type in 10/22 in the search engine- then you'll see the dissassembly instructions- FOR GOD'S SAKE, DON'T THROW IT OUT OVER A MINOR DETAIL

Ok, that video above is helping alot. I have one problem though. I installed the trigger return and then the trigger/sear/hammer, but the trigger return is crooked, which in turn is making the trigger pull slightly gritty. It is not straight on the back of the trigger.

What do I do?

Ok, so I got the trigger group back together. The only thing not working propery is the safety.

Now, for some reason every two or three times I pull the bolt back, the extractor comes flying out. Why is this?
