I could use some help with a Browning collection.

I have a close family friend who is no longer hunting. He wants to sell his rifles ; I would really like to buy them and want to give him a fair offer.

If anyone can give me a price range from experience, that would be great.

All guns are in good condition and were used for hunting.

1. Browning Citori 20ga shotgun over under choke and no choke made in Japan
takes 2 3/4 and 3 in shells 28in barrel.

2. Winchester model 88 in .308 comes with 2 magazines

3.Browning BLR.308 lever gun made in Belgium c/w 2 magazines

4. Browning BAR S/A in .308 made in Belgium c/w 1 2 shot magazine

5. Browning BAR S/A .22long rifle made in japan

6. Browning BLR .22 lever gun made in japan

7. Browning BPR .22 pump gun made in belgium

What are the choke markings? The * marks in particular and if - - * or what ever?
 
The spring auction at Switzers in eastern Ontario is going on right now. I would log on and search their past sales for price ranges. You will be surprised. Those prices are what the market is paying for guns like those. If you aren't seeing what you need, write to Paul Switzer at the office, explain what you need, offer him $50 and ask for a market estimate. He'll know.

Thank you for the information I will check out Switzers.
 
Well, without pictures I would say they are worth xyz $$'s .
One can search auction sites or check out the many site sponsors who have consignment sales and a used rack .
I know the guys who are on Fraser St. in Vancouver who have several of these firearms in their store right now.
Not as easy as giving the answers the op is looking for, but gives them some time to try and figure out what they have that a loved family member left them with.

Thanks for the response. A previous response sent me in the direction of checking auctions and that really helped. I will check out the Vancouver store.
