But to no avail... it came home with me

Used, 308WIN with less than 1 box of rounds through her.
I stuck the VXII 3-9 on there for now, untill I decide what to permanently mount up there. Still undecided on glass, rings, and mount for the long term.
Any tips/comments/advice from past/present Ti owners more than welcome.:)

Resistance is Futile

Remember what the Borg said, because it is often true. Just enjoy it. That is a great looking gun. Don't sell it and it will likely appreciate in value. Good guns are like that.

Don't listen to the Tikka wimps. Stick with Remington.

real nice. don't you hate when that happens? you see a nice rifle like the 700 titanium of yours and a higher power kinda takes over. the next thing ya know you're walking out of the gun shop with a box under your arm and a reciept in your hand and the whole thing is like a blur. at least that's what i tell my wife. we do try to resist but it's out of our control. they're a great gun enjoy!!

Thanks for the compliments on the rifle:)
Now I know all you guys are gonna tar and feather me for considering this, but are any of you running a one piece picatinny mount? I'm specifically mentioning the TPS 7075 aluminum picatinny mount. I know its sacriledge to not put a set of those Talley's on there...;) I use TPS mount and rings on my 700P and love them, that's why the thought crossed my mind.
Now, I notice that the stock contacts the barrel out near the end of the stock. What should I expect for accuracy with this rifle? I'm hoping for moa or damn close with factory crap, and under moa with handloads. What has been your experiences with these rifles? Should the stock be relieved to allow the barrel to float free? I have already adjusted the trigger down to a nice clean 2.5lbs.
Keep the advice and comments coming:)

While I use and like TPS stuff on my match rifles, They seem kinda out of place on a TI. The whole point is light, clean, minimalist... I just wish Talleys came in alower configuration. They arn't as elegant, but plain old weaver bases and Burris Zee rings( low, or super low) keep the scope low, and the weight down.
