I don't have a CH Inglis yet, but saw this at a good price.

As far as I know, none of the CAL made stocks ever had Chinese characters on them so I would say that one is a repro.
I've seen the original, Canadian made Inglis stocks priced anywhere from $200-$400

Oh, I'm sure it's made in China. Clive Law has a picture of one just like it in his book. But one this nice with sling I think is a good price.

yes, dan , you done good even if it was a repro. the sling was the bonus.

i personally would not buy a genuine (us$250-400) from online auction bcos its hard to tell from pics and many owners themselves beleiving they have the originals simply bcos thats what they were told and paid for, and eventually when they sell, they unknowingly sell repro as original.

Don't get me wrong - I think you did well on the purchase - I would like to add one like it to my collection, but I have never come across one.
As curtton said, there are lots of repros being passed off as originals. I assumed, from your first post, that you thought the one in question was an original CAL.

now the fun begins, filling the holster with a CH inglis.

i know only a couple of places, you might wanna try [uww.joesalter.com and [urlw.gunbroker.com , maybe other members can suggest other sites.

just make sure all numbers matches.

our canadian arm forces still uses the T series altho it slowly being phased out. not bad for almost 70 years service.
