I finally managed to acquire a .358 BLR!

That BLR almost came to Kingston, Jeff........

Glad you got it, as I told the seller!

I will look up my old loading data and send it along. My BLR 81 in that chambering actually preferred round nose bullets, go figure....

Thank you very much for all the excellent feedback fellows! :)

My trip to the range planned for today has been postponed, but soon!

Wonderful Optics Match!

I am really enamoured with how handy and light this rifle is...so I jumped at the Leupold fixed 4 power Compact scope (28 mm objective) I saw advertised here on EE. It's a real beauty...my fellow CGNut had it here the day after I bought it from him, and it's a gorgeous liitle scope. In my opinion it'll be a very nice match for this rifle. At first I figured on a 2-7 or 3-9 but I'll bet I can do plenty with 4x scope. :) Merry Christmas to me...:p

Jeff.

Great score Jeff.I had 1 about 10 years ago and foolishly traded it off.I put a peep sight on mine and used it for deer.Mine liked 250 gr. Speer round nose bullets,40 grains of 3031 and CCI primers.I still have a box of 20 and no rifle for them.If there is anybody on this board that has a .358 and is willing to pick them up in the Ajax area they are yours.(PM me)Merry Christmas.
