Me too. I call it "The .223" It's actually a Remington M700 ADL in .223 Rem.
Pretty unique, eh
I also have a pet name for my old Midland 2100 .30-06. After about the 20th moose fell from that old freezer filler, I started referring to it as "Old-Meat-In-The-Pot"
My savage 99 (had a long time) is named Frank. Only other one
I might name is my 300wsm (takes lots of powder when reloading)
thinking of referring to it as the PIG. All others I refer to by caliber or manufacturer.
I try not to name them, or else my wife will accuse me of cheating, but a co-worker of mine refers to his Iver Johston Champion 12Ga. as "the ugly gopher killer".
Only two of my guns have names currently, Glocksana and Morganna (the scope kissing bandit 300wm). Still need to name the others but I haven't shot them enough to really get to know them.
I try not to name them since it makes it harder to get rid of them later if something better comes along. The only time they get named is when they are cuasing me problems, and then the names I call them are not exactly something that I should repeat.
