I recently was given a Remington 870 by my uncle with a random cardboard box full of various gun things. In that box was a bunch of USSR made #6 Azot 12g shells in cardboard tubes. Anyone know about these? They are pretty cool with the line drawing pheasant on there.

Woolworth's was one store that sold them many moons ago. I think I have a box or 2 around here somewhere with the Woolworth's price tag still on the box.

AZOT was awful stuff, dirty to fire, dirty on the gun.

It did, however, do the job on ducks, pheasant, geese, ticklaces, puffins and anything else that got in front of them.

At least the shot was ROUND, quite unlike what a certain Canadian company was turning out in the same period as these came in.
