The box is obviously designed to hold them. There is no writing whatsoever on the "cartridges". The cover of the box has some letters and numbers but I can't make them out because of the corrosion.
Top view, some look like they have some sort of primer.

Some are cut to show insides. Length of the larger "cartridges" is 2 3/16 inches. Diameter of body is .510 and diameter of head .689
