I got free 303 ammo given to me Nice Pic

Nice score. AP rounds to boot, a nice convo starter. They sound evil and scary its surprising we're still allowed to own them

Great story. I was also given a bag of 303's about 350 rounds of the same ammo. It was found in a closet at a friends house when they moved in.
Happy Shooting

Got me wondering what the links look like for belted WWII .303 as used on aircraft. I assume they look like a small version of todays .50 links

As Tiriaq noted above, the Brits didnt generally use tip colour to ID the bullet type.
Instead they used the headstamp.
W for AP
G for tracer
B for incediary

Along with Roman numerals for model or mark and a Z for nitrocellulose powder.
And perhaps K for Kynoch factory and a year.

So it might read: W II Z K43
