I was one of the lucky ones who got a CSA carbine last week. (I also had my name on the wait list since the absolute beginning - about 3 and 1/2 months). About a month ago I decided that I would give it to my girlfriend as a Christmas present. It is cheap to shoot (cheaper than virtually any other centrefire rifle, even with reloading... which we do), low recoil, easy to shoot and fun. We've had it out shooting twice now. It is really cool gun. The finish on these is the most striking thing about them compared to the CZ guns. Look at the difference in the mags in the first picture. It is hard to tell in some of the pics, but that is the difference throughout the whole gun. One is a kind of glossy blue. The other is a flat, matte black, parkerized-type thing. I'm uploading some vids right now, and "Nemo" also took at least one vid of it on Thursday which he has up on his channel (I'll post the links shortly). I thought you guys might enjoy a few more pics:
Comparison with my 858-4v which has been converted to a "woody". Notice that, with the muzzle break, the OAL is not much different:
With a stable of evil black rifles (L to R: CMMG 14.5" milspec "M4"; "Woody" CZ858-4v; CSA 11.5" carbine; Swiss Arms 14.3" carbine). Notice that they are all very similar in overall length/size:
Comparison with the Swiss Arms folding stock:
With a bone-stock 18.5" Remington 870:
With the Remy, also also a K98k and a Steyr SSG69:
Another satisfied shooter!
