I just picked up my Browning X-bolt varmint and figured I had to share some pics. They aren't amazing pics but I will post better ones later on. This baby is a .223 with a 24" medium heavy barrel. I put my Bushnell elite 3200 5-15x40mm on and used some Browning X-lock rings on it (made by talley). I haven't had it out to the range yet but I will most likely be taking this thing tomorrow. I have this crazy obsession with varmint calibers so I had to get myself a 223 to add to the 22-250 and 243. Hope you enjoy it. Will post targets soon to show you how well it shoots with my handloads.

Well I went out and shot this thing today. HOLY cow it's accurate! I took it to the range and shot @100 yards. It shot a 3 shot group measuring .183" @ 100 yards. . It really likes Sierra 52 gr matchkings.

I measured the outside of the holes which measured .407 and subtracted .224 for the bullet diameter. I then got .183"

Anyways here are some pictures of the groups.

I've got a stainless stalker version of this rifle in 300 wsm and the accuracy is very close to this with factory ammo! It really seems to like Fusion 165 gr variety. I'm going to be working up a hunting load with it for next fall. I also am very impressed with the rifle-- nice work Browning!
If you haven't taken the rifle apart yet you may be as surprised as I was to find that it comes glass bedded from the factory. That may explain the accuracy.

I already knew that it was. I didn't think much of a bedding job from the factory but obviously it works.

Very nice looking Rifle! and those aren't groups their 1 ragged hole damn fine shooting.......when are you going to stretch this baby's legs out?

I don't know when I'll really get to take this thing out to see what it can really do but it will be shooting a few yotes this year. Thanks for the compliments guys.

Nice shooting. Got my 22-250 version a few weeks ago with 26 inch barrel and 1-14 twist rate. too cold and windy to shoot tight groups with at this time of year but 4 coyotes were impressed with it last Sunday on its maiden voyage.

Nice, I was going to get the 22-250 but I figured I already own one and wanted to try the .223 so that's what I went with instead. When you get the chance, I want to see how yours shoots as well.
