I had an old .177 break action pellet pistol from the early 1970'S

As near as I can tell it might have been a Slavia ZVP or something very similar. The last time I seen it was 2020 at a family member place. I wish I'd taken it then. Does anyone know anything of these?

C'mon man, that is a lot like going on Reddit asking for someone to paint a picture of your first Girlfriend, with all the supporting description is saying "she was pretty cute!".

My cousin had a Slavia ZVP back in the 70s. Without a photo it’s hard to tell what it is. There is a bit of info online about the Slavia including photos if you do a search.

The photos I see and the video below remind me of an old Slavia 624 we had when I was a kid. It was completely trashed by the previous owner but still fired. The wood finishing on the pistol looks similar, rounded edges everywhere and not particularly smooth looking finish.

It was a stark contrast when I bought a Slavia 631 when I was a young man, in the 1990s. I think it's at my parents house now, but it was a nice rifle. Well finished metal and wood (mind you I've never had an expensive air rifle so not much basis for comparison). At the time it was pretty affordable - I think I paid $130 for it - and I was surprised at how accurate it was. Not too sensitive to hold and a comfortable stock. Very well built and solid, and the wood was quite nice too, smooth and more angular.
