So, a gent at the range had an m10x, and he offered to let me shoot it after I offered to let him shoot my cool new rifle;
Fit and finish actually pretty nice. Zhukov stock works nicely, but feels a bit chintzy to me.
I'd describe the the overall feel of the gun like an SG 550, but chunkier. Recoil impulse is very smooth as youd expect from the SG 550s piston system, but with a distinct 7.62 extra kick to it which leads to a particularly angled muzzle rise. Overall pleasant to shoot.
The trigger is actually sweet. Very light, almost feels like a continuous pull with lack of DISTINCT break. Its actually so light I accidentally doouble-tapped it while firing standing, shouldered, and thought it had gone full-auto.
The supplied magazines arent very nice quality.
In terms of accuracy, I only shot 10 rounds standing with PMC bronze ammo and a crappy red dot, so I didnt gather any data.
I'm still pissed about the whole debacle with my pre-order...and I dont really care for 7.62x39 so I dont think Ill be getting one now, but if the price dropped, or one was substantially discounted as a used rifle I might consider it. Still miss my Swiss Arms, and this would scratch the itch, but could never fill the void.
