It's time to try something new so I ordered a Gaillard fluted barrel and a McSwirly for my Remington 700 donor. It's my first "custom" so I'm going to spend a bit of cash to get it just the way I want. The only problem is waiting for everything to come in before I can send it to guntech to put it all together. Damn, I hate waiting.
Oh, it's going to be chambered in 6.5x55.

the wait isn't all that bad, good choice in cartridge for your new rifle, sounds like it'll be a great rifle

i am in the same boat, i ordered a new T/C Encore endevore in .50 muz

its my first smoke pole. I even spent the extra for express post. I ordered it through SIR. Its been a week and it still hasent cleared the firearms center

I ordered a .44 mag a few months back and that took 2 days to clear.

we have a baby on the way in the next week or so and i would really like to get out to the range and get it sighted in.
