Sounds like the Beer store is carrying dog food.

While Pedigree may have a full bodied "meaty" flavor the similarity to recycled horse, ends there. Pedigree is one of the most widely carried Real Ales in the UK and a favorite refreshment if real Theakstons Old Peculiar was not available.

You picked a good province to move to, people in Sask. and Alta. are gun/hunting friendly, people from Ont. and Quebec are wimpy and vote for the Lieberals mostly, (except maybe Dantforth, he's a good guy)!! I used to live in Ontario, but it was O.K. then(last year).

Welcome to Canada cybershooters.

Aw come on ben hunchuck. Why is it that when people talk about gun/hunting friendly people in the west, they basically pretend that Manitoba doesn't exist. We feel a great sense of pride being neighbors to Saskatchewan & Alberta. We love our guns, outdoors and hunting a lot.
We may not have so much in common with Ontario (aka Toronto) and Quebec but we like them too. It's just that when it gets to -18°C in Toronto they call in the army to help them out. We don't consider it a problem until the windchill hits -50°C. We also think our crime problems are not because of law abiding gun owners and that banning guns will make the problem go away. We do however feel that beating on the guy that tries to steal your wheels is good because the courts just let them go, and boy do we have a lot of vehicles being stolen. Count me as one of them.

I think it's safe to assume that when most people talk about gun friendly west, it's a given that Manitoba is included. Gonna be fishing Falcon lake this summer, yeeeeeeeee hah!

FWIW

When I live in England, the most ale sales were from Watney's and it was Brown Ale (which I like).

A pint of Bitter goes down well too.

I have never heard of Pedigree, except as the aformentioned dog food.

Ah, no, you are wrong, the cultured Albertans do have chocolate Hob Nobs, I nearly bought some the other day. I did see the No Name rich tea biscuits, they were all smashed to bits too. I had to settle for Ginger Nuts. One biscuit you can guarantee isn't going to be broken!

You obviously haven't been here long enough then. Our idea of culture is beer and Whoppers!:D

Oh God, I was in Canadian Superstore (aka Loblaw's) and this guy who I think was west African came up to me in the freezer section and asked if I knew where the soya ice cream was... I just cracked up laughing, I told him he'd be lucky if it wasn't made from beef!
