i just can't decide!

i think i never had so much trouble making my mind for something.
i want to upgrade the scope 7wsm.
my mind was pretty much set on the swaro z3 4-12x50 with BT i just like the idea. and they have quite a reputation on the quality of their glass.
but i stumbled on quite a few bad comment on the net about their tracking ability and zero shift problems.

so i checked the leupold VX3L 4.5-14X50. their warranty and quality draws me to this product and i would have a CDS turret made. but it only have 19' FOV @100 y, compared to swaro's 29'. ( major cons for me)

last but not least is zeiss conquest 4.5-14x50. with hunting turret or target turret ( cannot find the difference between them, or if they're the same?)
from what i read, optical quality is between the 2 others and it may be the most rugged of the 3. but it's also the heaviest. FOV is not bad at 25'@100y. i contacted kenton industries to ask if they take orders from canada, but got no answers. i would have a custom turret made. but the factory moa dial would be ok too.

i also dont know much about swaro's and zeiss warranty service in canada
looks like swaro is only has 10 years??.
what do you guys think

A Swaro is some thing I have never been interested enough to pay for, same with higher end Leupolds. These scopes you are looking at all sound big and heavy to me. I do have a 4.5-14 Zeiss on my 222 but only a 40mm. If I had decided I wanted a Swaro and had the dough to buy it then that is what you should do. I have never bought a scope in my life based on what if some thing happens.
I have a number of Nikons, you might want to check out a Monarch and save yourself several hundred dollars. FS

I have sold many, many Swarovski Z3 scopes and personally setup many bt equipped units and never heard of or experienced any tracking or poi issues.

As for the warranty, Swarovski's warranty is 30 years after a given model has been discontinued. So when the Z3 line or that particular Z3 scope has been retired, you have 30 years of coverage. The Zeiss warranty is essentially lifetime.

To date, I have never seen Swaro or Zeiss deny warranty coverage - and this includes units with obvious user damage. I sent a Swarovski spotter that had been dropped and the tripod mount broke right off the scope - the scope was replaced at no charge.

I recently sent a pair of Zeiss Rangefinder binos where the oculars were so badly scratched (owner must have used sandpaper to clean them) that you could hardly look through them. I was actually suprised when Zeiss sent a brand new pair of binos back for the customer. The customer was ecstatic.
 
This is a common dilemna with optics but fortunately we have a standard Gunnutz solution: Get one of each, try them out and see which one you like best for that rifle.

And then buy more guns to use all the extra scopes.

unfortunatly no! nobody within 4 hour drive keep swaro in stock here.
i'll have to rely on their reputation of top of the line optical quality.
i don't believe looking thru glass in a local store to be worth a damn anyway.
my nikon monarch looked super clear and bright when i tested before buying.
that test didn't tell me that under specific condition the damn thing would white-out making a shot impossible.

as for the ballistic turret/ 50mm comment.
i'd rather have the ballistic turret and never need it than not having one, for the small difference in price. and the 50 mm will be monted the same height
as the 42mm nikon i have been using the last 4 years, and weight less anyway.
