I just got my first really short shotgun and boy I like it. 50 shells down range and I'm happy happy happy!

The new stock is in so I'll post a part 2 soon. I think Canada Ammo has them for 319 which is worth it because its a 870. I think the slide action is not spec but everything else is.

For Kayaking you might want to check out the Chromed 12.5" shotgun that Whanstall's is selling right now.
It's a bit of an unknown made in Trukey 870 based design but the price is nice for what you get and the chromed finish would be nice in a coastal ocean environment.

I'm lucky I got mine about 2 weeks ago, now they're out of stock until the fall. I initially had trouble loading it, pushing rounds into the mag tube was really difficult. With some spray lube and a little patience it worked loose, now it loads just fine. The gun makes a hell of a noise, it's probably the loudest I've owned. The front blade sight has a little indent, I painted it with a little white glow paint, the contrast helps quite a bit when aiming. The weight of the gun it surprising but really helps with the recoil, shot slugs and buckshot with mine and it doesn't rip your arm off. I can't wait to get my kicklite stock and give it a cool paint job...

is the choke that comes in the grizzly rated for steel shot? Mine has no markings at all except for the little notches that indicate that it's a modified choke.
