After having some impressive accuracy results (with a TRS25 Red Dot optic) from my initial range time, I just knew I had to get some glass on my NEA. So I installed a Weaver riser mount, Weaver rings and a Nikko Stirling Eurodiamond 30mm 3-9x42 scope. This scope has Japanese made glass and is easily equivalent to Leupold VII's. Long story short; at 100m....1" groups with 69gr Sierra HPBT. 2" groups with Hornady 55gr SP's- the Hornady groups were larger due to me shooting as fast as I could while still trying to maintain accuracy. 60 rounds fired. No FTF, FTE or any other annoyances. Only modification on the rifle, aside from optics, is my gunsmith did a very tidy trigger job and the trigger is now at 7lbs instead of 9.5. No creep, very crisp- still mil-spec which is what I wanted. The NEA Mini-Can rocks and even though I am a lefty shooter, the G96 soaked bolt threw next to nothing back on my glasses. Now, time to stop delaying and take this rig hunting!!!

ps: to the two or three NEA haters........
