Stag has some thin Annodizing on the recent ones I have seen.
Kevin,

If you'd like another look I can send you one for examination.

From my perspective, We've never had a complaint on the lowers, and I've never personally seen that comment elsewhere. If someone did have a problem with anodizing and it was brought to our attention, it would have been replaced. We did have 1 upper receiver come back with easily chipped anodizing. Stag assumed it may have not been degreased properly at the anodizer prior to the process.

FWIW, CMT and Colt use the same anodizing sub-contractor and I am told use the same mil-spec finish.

To answer the question though. I don't hear anything bad about any lower currently on the market in Canada.

Dlask, Armalite, Bushmaster, LMT, DPMS, Stag/CMT, all seem to be going together fine it seems. Some may have various amounts of machining marks, but there are no stinkers. Has anyone actually had a lower (recent production) that they felt negatively affected the function of a rifle in any way?

I think I'd worry more about the lower parts kit, as that seems to be where people may run into problems.

OK so now im confused, I have a PWA lower, so are we saying that its actually a LMT?
Sorry to keep the noobish running through my veins.

PWA - and Olympic had a relationship back in the days of painted lowers

Walt -- It was not a lower -- but an upper -- I guess I should have specified that -- it was sourced from the US direct -- but not into Canada...

LMT was making Armalites AR10 stuff as well. LMT used to maked KAC's upper and lower intially.

Kevin, Just curious, was it a M4 ramped upper receiver? The bad one we had was ramped. Same batch maybe?

Yes and no, PWA evolved into LMT, just look at the logos.
