those guys know .45's and shooting. Unless they have sold out, they believe the new HK.45 is a great fighting gun/ competition piece.
A lot of internals were borrowed from the existing HK USP .45, and the P2000 for ergonomics.

It's awesome that they're making the o-ring standard, and the multiple trigger groups.

Well, considering that Larry Vickers is a paid consultant for H&K, I wouldn’t expect to much criticism from his camp.

the new edition of "Guns & Weapons for law enforcement has an article by Ken hackathorn which talks about the new .45 from Hk. They confirm that it is a combination of a P2000 and a USP. (some parts are interchangeable with the HK45)
One thing they talked about was the Line Of Bore issues, and that some changes have been made to allow the HK45 to sit lower in the hand.

I hope that the new single stack grip is indeed modeled after the 1911, which ahs a huge advantage over the USP as far as the ergonomics go.

I've always wanted H&K USP in .45, but the size of grip prevented me from getting one. I got girl's hand and anything bigger than P99 grip's a problem for me.
So this, this I would get. Especially in that Desert Tan color. So purty.

if they came out with OD or black for that model it would be great. I can't get over that fact that the tan kind of looks like baby puke, or diarhea

I'm thinking about getting a Compact Tactical... any chance the HK45 will make it up here (the picatinny rail is nicer than the HK proprietary rail)?

I really hope the grip really is designed with 1911 in mind. Only HK I can get is Compact Tac, and even that I don't know how long the supply will last.

BTW, how longs the regular USP last? I mean how many rounds does it spit out in lifespan?
