My company has this "lifestyle rewards" employee perk where every year every employee gets $250 to spend on something non work related to help them enjoy life outside of work. People buy concert tickets, fishing gear, clothes, electronics etc... A lot of things don't get approved because it can't be work related. For example, we asked HR is we could claim luggage (we travel a lot) and they said no. The point is not to make your life easier, the point is to make life outside of work more fun.
So today I ask them if I can buy and claim against the $250 a reloading press. The answer... APPROVED.
SO I'm the proud new owner of an RCBS Rockchucker Supreme and a 3 carbide die set in .45 ACP and shellholder. All basically free to me. I paid for it up front, but tomorrow I'll submit the expense and get reimbursed for exactly $250.
But wait there is more.... This is a yearly allowance that resets in January. I'm going to buy myself a powder scale, calipers, trimmer and the rest in about a months time and submit it again.
Free reloading gear....FROM A TORONTO COMPANY! Bwahahahahaaha.
