Wanted to share how pleased I am that today I got finally my Browning BPS waterfowl in Mossy Oak Duck Blind.
Pretty sweet shotgun. I like the dura-touch coating, gives great grip.
It just seems to fit me well and points naturally. The action is smoother out of the box than my Mossberg was after a few dozen boxes.
Just had to take it out on a jump shoot this afternoon and fired 3 shots and knocked down 3 green heads. My dog was having lots of fun.
A few things I noticed where.
1. The bead is not a high-vis, wondering about easy change options.
2. The gun was absolutely full of grease. Annoying to clean.
3. The gun comes with 3 chokes and the one installed from the factory was the extra-full (ie. Lead shot only). I find it strange that a gun made for waterfowl would even ship with a "lead only" choke, let alone have it be the default choke. Good thing I read the manual before testing it out. I guess you could use one of the $3 a pop bismuth shells with it, but why?
All in all, I'm loving it.
