Hey,

So I finally put the FO front sight on my Tanfoglio L (got it from Sean in Kingston)... Will be going to give it a try (and sight it in) tomorrow.

I did notice that if it's dark enough, the FO is invisible, so I'll need to sight it on the front of the post anyway, just in case, and just learn to put the dot in the centre of the rear-sight notch. It doesn't look too bad at all, in my basement, we'll see how it will work outdoors.

Wouldn't mind hearing from others who put FOs on their Production guns... Comments?

after the Nationals I installed this option from PSI, front big red, rear two green dots= VERY bright. I sighted it in and I am very happy with it.
The only problem on my part is that I was taking the shot as soon as I put the red dot on the target/ metal, but the front sight was not in the notch!!!

I used it in a steel challenge match this past weekend, and did very well with it; even won some cash.:)

I just got back from Sharon... WHOA!!!!!! I LOVE (!!!!!!!!!!) that FO front sight!!!!! Geeze..... whoa!

Shooting under cover, in darkness, I could hardly see it, so I wasn't too impressed, but then I moved to the open range, and in the sunlight, holly ####! It was just like I imagine Open to be - put the dot where you want the bullet to hit! Yippee!!!

I think I'm ordering FOs for all of my guns...

Angus's for the SP01, Dawson for the Glock, Gunnar's for the Baby Eagle, just gotta find some for the P226 ;)

I love my FO, It is so easy now to point and shoot. Make sure you have a few spare. Mine tend to pop out from time to time, like the day of the Nationals. Thank God Seanmart. Now you will be Rocking at our Prov. See you soon.

You never got paid :p And don't be bragging, you barely beat me by about 0.28 sec, I was using a pump shotgun and I didn't try it thrity times either :D But you did smoke it on that run, sweet.

Those sights are fireakin' bright  Hard not to touch it off when the red meets the target wasn't it.

Fun having you over Mo

Great! Now if only I could find some that would fit a Springfield P9...The guy I was talking to from PSI hasn't answered my email offering a CC number...

Just got mine in last week from Angus and sighted it in ASAP. Went to a steel match with it on Sunday and I could really see the difference. Shoots freakin' great....makes you want to pull the trigger faster.

Unfortunately, I couldn't beat maurice (wasn't too far behind) but I'm working on it.

Different match, I was referring to the Steel Challenge match at Dalhousie..;)

Man did I beat my SP01 up today replacing my sights with fo on front. I'm not afraid to get a little dirty and muck up a pistol or two to get experience on how to do this stuff.

Yet to try it out ...

Really? I emailed them about the baby eagle version of sights, and they replied right away, and even confirmed that they ship to Canada. it's these guys:

That is who I dealt with, tell him you are from Canada, and he will arrange shipping (THRU USPS, NOT UPS)

Very friendly and quick. I would not hesitate to deal with him again.

Haha, the Tanfoglio sights were similar, I had to POUND it with a hammer to get it to go into the groove, with some metal shavings coming off the sides. I was gentle and careful where I hit it, but yeah, it wasn't a snap-in installation ;) But it's all good... :beerchug:

My front sight was very loose, used some loctite to keep it in place. the rear was a little tighter, and required some trimming to allow it to go in without butchering it.

My experience is that the easier a front sight goes on, the more likely it comes off at a match. :(
(Sort of like that toast will always land on the buttered side when you drop it thing...)

I had to hammer both front and back to get them on. The back more so than the front optic.

I sure hope it aims straight - I'll have to pound her some more to tweak it if not.

Sure got some character now when you see my pistol. :')

Ohhh, I wasn't complaing, haha, it was more of an amuzed note ;)

One of my grip screws keeps on coming loose, though, I have to re-tighten it every 50 or so rounds... a little annoying... ;)

Those are the guys...He may be on vacation, or he may still be trying to get the sights from LPA in Italy, I don't know. He said he MAY be able to get me a custom FO sight for my P9, or failing that a set of the TR adjustable sights. I'm trying him at precisionsalesintl@aol.com and not getting any responses:(
I have now asked a gunsmith in Alberta to see what he can do for me, so we'll see what else is out there...
