I modified my LEE turret press!

This is what I have

I got tired of the crimped in primer's making the jump onto the floor so I came up with a simple and cheap mod to catch 99% of the spent primer's.
I took the ram off the press, rotated it 90deg and drilled a new 3/8 hole thru the ram.
Result? it now send the spent primer's to the side instead of the front.
I aimed them to the left, made a small shield to make sure the primer's don't go over the edge
.

How well does it work?

I'd say 99% of the primer's are now caught.
It's the crimped in one's that seem to fly the farthest.

I did the same thing on both sides of mine with thin cardboard and some tape. Reduced the amount of spent primers on the floor and all over my bench by 90%. Poor design on lee's part though.

I just put a small box on the floor where they always seem to land, the tube thing it comes with catches 1 in about 500....

No tube thing on my press, I've had it a good 25 year's now.
