I came looking for 20 mm or at at least 50 bmg, very disappointed, Lol.
On a side note, it's nice looking rifle, congratulation on the new toy. You should get a blast diffuser or something like that otherwise your shooting partners are not going to like you much, Lol.

I know I built a light weight 308 in the 6lb range and have a 1-8 which I feel is a great optic for a 308 semi but it just kills that lightweight feel
Not from scratch. Was 16" with regular birdcage, no AFG. So it's not exactly a build per say.

I bet shooting 308 out of a 13.5" bbl puts some hair on your chest. I was extremely surprised by .223 out of even a 12.5" barrel ( my second build, compared to 300 blk out of 12.5 ).

Nice to hear as I've been on the fence about getting a 13.5 for awhile.
Put a SF on my MWS 16 and I really like it, plus have a warden as well but don't use it as much as I could...

I’m a bit disappointed as well...pretty clear to me the OP, and I have a different idea about weight and penetration! The title had me thinking of a 450 Marlin with 400-500 gr solids, after my mind had climbed up out of the gutter!
