I've sent out my Belgian 1895 Nagant revolver to two gunsmiths for a barrel replacement and both times the result has been problematic.
The original owner of this revolver shot surplus Soviet ammo and didn't clean out the gun before putting it away for a decade. The original barrel looks like a moonscape. The first gunsmith made the forcing cone too wide and the mouth of the cases expand too much and can't be removed without a rod and a hammer.
The second gunsmith made the forcing cone too tight and the case mouths are not expanding enough, and the bullets are tumbling.
Anyone know a gunsmith that can properly take on this job?
Or better yet, anyone have a parts gun they can sell me?
