I need a source for .500 S&W

Now thats funny:D ..Blinded by the big tube and no research done at all:rolleyes: ....Oh well, if he's happy paying $2+ per round:eek: , I am sure he will have great joy and had better look at reloading, unless he's financially independant..Oh, better start looking now for reloading stuff too...You wont find that at WalMart...Feel relief knowing that if he cant locate any ammo, it makes a really fancy club too..

For components for mine, I've picked up some goodies @ P&d in Edmonton. The last time I was there, they had Hornady brass, dies, 350gr HP's & 500gr FP's. For most of the .500 S&W cast bullets and Starline brass, my source of supply is a local fellow. If you're still having trouble locating supplies, send me a PM & I'll give you some contact info. Have 'fun'. The .500 S&W is quite a handful and can inflict pain, at both ends.
 
P&D hs hornady & winchester brass, Hornady 350 and 500gr bullets, and occasionally have bullet barn cast 330 gr bullets for those reduced loads (who're ya kidding, you'll be shooting a LOT of reduced loads I'm sure ;) )

The really funny thing is that I have everything except the revolver; about 750 once fired brass, RCBS carbide dies, two moulds, jacketed bullets, Star lube sizer die, Dillon 550 conversion unit and 3000 gas checks.
 
.500 ammo just arrived.

I was at Island Outfitters in Victoria yesteday and they had just received a shipment of .500 ammo. Their phone # is (250)475-6942 (direct gun shop line). Go get'em!

Additional .500 S&W info, the cast bullets I'm using are 350gr BB, 370gr PB & 440gr GC. I have some good cast load info from John Tafin of the American Handgunner. Load info period is a little on the scarce side but I did get answers back from Hornady, Sierra and some from Speer. As I mentioned in a previous posting, if you're looking for any reloading info along this line, send me a PM & I'll scan & send it to you.
