Could someone point me in the direction of a non-peened k-98. I'd like the German stamps intact. I swear Tradex had them, but maybe not...

I believe there are several dealers with RC's still available. You could phone them and maybe ask for an unpeened one? SFRC, Frontier Firearms, Lever Arms, and P&S are a few that come to mind. You could also watch the EE. There was a super cool depot build RC on there with really awesome sideways stamped proofs that weren't peened just a short time ago. Several other guys selling RC's as well.

Other than a non refurb of some sort an unpeened RC is probably your best bet.
 
Just to clarify - Are you looking for a Russian Capture K98k without eagles peened or something else?

Some RC's are peened and some aren't. I think I would check the EE here on CGN when somebody is selling one and confirm if they're peened or not before buying.

Probably SFRC has the most stock right now.

Some Canadian Tire have them.

Frontier Firearms has Some.

Weimajack had a couple with markings intact on his EE listings. If they are gone, keep an eye on his listings, he updates them regularly.
 
I'd avoid Lever Arms customer service is crap.A buddy tried to order 5 of the $200 SVT-40's and after taking his MC # 1/2 way through the order the lady states ,the store is closing I have to go and hangs up! Several followup phone calls and emails days later he finally gets a guy on the phone.They won't honor the sale price. Won't be getting any money from me either..........Harold
